What is Float Therapy?
The basic idea of floating is simple. First you minimise or completely remove the sensory input to your brain – you just shut everything off – every signal to your brain from the outside world! Float therapy is freeing yourself from all sensation of gravity, temperature, touch, sight and sound (which together accounts for 90% of normal neuromuscular activity), you then conserve and can redirect vast amounts of natural physical and mental energy. Floating happens inside our purpose built float rooms which contain state of the art float pods. Our rooms and pods are designed specifically to provide you with a silent sanctuary where you can be transported to an all-encompassing world of absolute calm and tranquillity.
What to expect?
On arrival you will be welcomed and given a full tour of your private float room where we talk you through what happens the first time you float, what to expect and how to use the room and float pod. As well as talking about some health and safety aspects of the room we will share our best hints and tips for what to do when your in your float pod. Our vast experience can help you make the most of your first float experience to ensure you reach the optimum level of rest and relaxation. There is plenty of time to ask questions and explore the room with your guide. It is important to us that your feeling settled and confident in your surroundings so that you can physically and mentally ‘switch off’ and fully relax once we leave you in your room.
Sleep Troubles?

Sports Therapy
Athletes routinely push themselves to the limit day after day to achieve their fitness goals. This can lead to physical injury and mental exhaustion. Floating can improve focus, concentration as well as significantly shortening recovery time from injury or training.
Pregnancy
Your body and weightlessness! Zero gravity in the float pod means that you are relieved of the extra weight gained during pregnancy and pressure is taken off your joints. Water retention and swelling is reduced and blood pressure is lowered as blood circulation around the body is increased.
Menopause
Menopause and Perimenopause can cause symptoms such as anxiety, mood swings, muscle aches and pains, brain fog, hot flushes and difficulty sleeping to name a few. Both the Menopause and the Perimenopause can have a huge impact on your life, including relationships and work. There are things that you can do to help with the symptoms.
Relaxation
In your own silent sanctuary anxieties and stresses are able to simply drift away. During floating, levels of the stress hormone – cortisol drop, while the feel-good hormones rise. Eliminating your sensory overload allows your brain to drift into the half-awake, half dreaming state – enabling a true physical and mental relaxation.
