Hint’s & Tip’s to Float Therapy
Avoid any stimulants
Avoid caffeine and other stimulants prior to your float. This will make it easier for your mind and body to switch off and relax
Avoid a big meal
Don’t eat a heavy meal before your float session or be too hungry. It’s not comfortable to float on either an empty or full stomach.
Avoid drinking too much
Don’t drink too much water before your float – the toilet is not in the float room – you wouldn’t want to be running to the toilet during the session.
Avoid floating on the day of shaving or waxing.
Shaving or waxing – we don’t recommend floating on the day you have shaved or waxed. The skin can be extra sensitive and Epsom salts is very nippy when skin is sore or with cuts or abrasions. Bear this in mind when booking your appointment (even if it’s a hair cut with razor to scalp). We do have Vaseline that you can apply to small areas.
Avoid wearing make-up
Heavy make-up – avoid wearing heavy makeup before your float. You need to take it all off! This takes time and your time is limited to keep us within our schedule for the day.
Unplug from the world
Switch your mobile phone off. We are more than happy for you to take pictures of the float room and share these on your social media, but make sure your on silent and not vibrate either when in the pod!
